The former SRE office building on the Keizer Karel V Singel in Eindhoven has been transformed into the Empire Living Center since 2016: a modern residential concept with 96 luxury apartments in various sizes from 42 to 87 m².
These apartments offer a comfortable, affordable and central living solution for various target groups. Situated on the ring road of Eindhoven, the complex is in a prime location near the city centre, public transport, shops and the High Tech Campus – the knowledge centre of the Netherlands.

Location and surroundings
Eindhoven, known as the smartest region in the world, is buzzing with innovation, design, technology and culture. With highlights such as the High Tech Campus, TU/e, Design Academy and events such as GLOW and Dutch Design Week, the city attracts students, expats and creatives. The ELC is ideally located between the city centre and the High Tech Campus, on the Keizer Karel V Singel. With shops, public transport and arterial roads nearby, and both the city centre and the campus within 10 minutes by bike, this is the perfect base for those who want to live centrally and connected.
Empire Living Center is located at the intersection of two characterful districts: the beloved Schrijversbuurt in Gestel and the creative Oud Strijp. In Strijp, a vibrant area in development, you will find the Philips Stadium, the iconic Klokgebouw and many starting creative entrepreneurs. On the other side lies the charming Schrijversbuurt, a lively district with shops, terraces and the green Genneperpark, where the Historical Open Air Museum of Eindhoven is also located. This unique location combines urban dynamics with peace and nature, right between the city center and the High Tech Campus.
The building and the apartments
The Empire Living Center consists of five floors with a total of 96 high-quality apartments, spread over four residential floors. On the fifth floor there are several apartments and a spacious shared roof terrace, which offers a beautiful view over Eindhoven and is accessible to all residents. The complex has twelve different types of apartments, some of which have unique features such as extra windows or an indoor storage room.
The central entrance is accessible from both the front and back of the building and provides access to the indoor bicycle storage, elevators, staircase, mailboxes and the intercom system. All floors are easily accessible via elevator or stairs. An electronic key gives you access to all common areas.
The building also offers short-stay apartments: fully furnished homes that are available for a rental period of up to 12 months.
Interior and delivery
The apartments are fully independent and have a spacious living room with open kitchen, separate bedrooms and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower, hanging closet, sink, design radiator and washing machine connection. The industrial and light look is enhanced by high concrete ceilings and a stylish PVC floor. The white kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob and fridge freezer.
All apartments are furnished and equipped with a neat floor, window coverings and lighting. Many units are fully furnished for rent, including inventory. Some homes have an indoor storage room; in addition, separate storage rooms can be rented for €30 per month. Each floor has its own floor finish: wood-look PVC on floors 1, 3 and 5, and a concrete-look PVC on floors 2 and four.

Rental prices as stated on the website include all costs such as internet, TV, gas, water, electricity, use of washing machines and dryers, full inventory, service costs and 9% VAT;
